nice, currently i am working on a heated encloser. In order to get the current info from astroprint i am using lxml to pull the data from the web page

How about multiple ports that it can be reached at, for example, cox internet blocks port 80 so, I would put it on 81 and have my dns automatically add...
But if I am not an advanced user and I open a port to my pi I now have a hole in my security

Im actually in the process of building one of those right now, its not complete, but I will share what I have, I haven't actually made anything for it except...
I got those ones from prop wash but struggled to get them to sit right, patently they have a square hole, which made it quite difficult.
So I did remove the notch on mine but the problem was that the threads were not long enough on the encoder to fit through the acrylic
So for erratic encoder movement you need to add a 10k resistors to the 5v and signal wire on the multiplexer
have you had any problems with multiple rotary encoders on one multiplexer? for some reason when I turn one, one or more will start spazing out and rotate in x-plane
