can I suggest that on the 'disabled' button, we use the lightest text colour possible that is still 4.5:1 contrast, eg maybe #404040 or lighter
@gazhands - with the label moved into the Search text box via CSS and then moved off-screen when the box gets focus? NB. I don't like 'reverse class for button...
'Search' inside the text box shouldn't be a hint or place-holder text, it should be a label - like on dta.gov.au  See also #432

I like "make your events accessible", and the shorter suggestion of simply "making events accessible", but have a slight concern that the information for presenters/speakers gets lost as a result....
