I would like to understand why a span is too large?
instead of this hacky workaround I'd simply exclude `opentracing-spring-cloud-feign-starter` from your build. This solved the issue for me.

running compodoc via a node script worked for me.
a short input field (like zipcode) would almost always have a hint message thats too long, do you really think that this issue should be closed? A workaround is given,...
