Agree, screen detection may not be good idea, especially when using screen with unusual aspect ratio, but want to use skin that was made for certain resolution.

This is intended behavior. Minecraft resources(ores) generation is not realistic. Having no ores generated also eases the terraforming process for the builders.

This issue might not be related to Terraplusplus, but to the Cubic Chunks mod, which probably has some conflicts with one of the mods you added to the mod pack....
