This looks somewhat related. The failure only happens with `yarn global add` but not with `npm -g install`. What could be the cause? I tried this with Windows as well...
I think basic http auth is standard and will be easier to implement and test. We could start there.
I can't use https with monster because partner dot monster does not support https :/
