Mouse input blocked or ignored on certain rows/colums

I run micro remotely over ssh in a tmux session. It seems that all mouse input (click, scroll, mark) is blocked on some rows or character positions. For example, I have en editor open right now with 53 visible rows. Any clicks or mousewheel scrolling is ignored if the mouse if over rows 14, 26 and 37, unless it's also to the right of column 147. Not sure if it's a remote login, tmux or micro bug.
