Read posts mark as read if it read and not by time

Hi,

like everyone times: sorry for my limited english ;-)

it would be nice to have an improved handling for the read posts/topics.

Some ideas:

a topic is mark as read if it read (not by time)
in the first column is a link to the first unread post
a link to mark all topics of a forum or all forums as read

I mentioned this in the old tracker already: This is not easy to do, You need to track each posting and each user. Given 130000 postings and 5000 users (as on support.zikula.de) this means 650 million datasets.

But how are phpBB and the other forums are solving this problem? Maybe there is a hybrid way.

I will check that as soon as find the time. A correct view of all unreaded posts would be nice but I agree that a db table with the read information off all users would be problematic.
