SFTP "Open With" another app. Can only Read but not Write.

From the SFTP storage, is it possible to take a file and "open with" another app for writing? Or it's only good for reading?

For example, some txt file on the SFTP. From Material Files I "open with" another text editor app. The text editor app can only read the file, but not write to it.

If I open the txt file from the Material Files built in txt editor, I can read and write the file. Just unable to write with other apps for some reason.

Works fine for me when I tested with openssh on Arch Linux and Amaze's text edtior or MiX's code editor. I can't use MiX's text editor and doing that will soon crash the app. If this is the case for you as well, it's likely related to https://github.com/hierynomus/sshj/issues/532 .

Thanks for trying. I don't now why it doesn't work for me. My phone is Samsung with Android 12. When you release the new version with the fix I'll try it again and let you know if it got resolved for me. I was using the FX Text Editor in case it matters. And the server was on Windows with rclone serving sftp.

With the Material Files built in text editor, no problems (I can read & write). But choosing open with->FX Text Edit... Only read. No write.
