Strange issues when indexing /home/user ... and other folders inside this path ...
Hello @zevv ,
I have been trying to index my partitions but i seem to be running into issues ...
Firstly i tried indexing /home/muz and it was taking forever to index with whole day being wasted and the .db file bloated to 500 MB for a home partition that is less than 200 GB, the indexing information status while its running says it has already indexed 1 TB ... I see a lot of avfsd with permission errors ...
then i tried indexing only the Downloads folder as that was the intended target for the cleanup ... seems to run in a about a minute but when i tried using the gui tool to view the structure graphically i am getting the message the path isn't found in the .db file ... clearly the indexing seems to have succeeded ... yet the message 'path not found' ...
$ duc index -p /home/muz/Downloads/
[----#---] Indexed 35.0Gb in 126.4K files and 11.5K directories
$ duc gui /home/muz/Downloads/
Path /home/muz/Downloads not found in database
Requested path not found
update :
turns out none of the partitions i previously indexed which succeeded just like the Downloads folder are getting picked up by the gui tool with the "not found in database, requested path not found"
