Sort overlay rectangles by size

For pages with background images, the huge overlay obscures most of the page content overlays (twitter's stream for example).

Detecting overlaps would also work but would be harder.

I'm tempted to not show an overlay for background images on body or make it more transparent and put the label top right so you still see some of the page.

Are you also suggesting sorting overlays from largest on bottom to smallest on top? Label placement is quite tricky too. Really need to add a hover state with resourse details.
