Just one more note… There’s no reason to union those cubes together, as the conversion to X3D converts each cube (geometry) into an X3D shape. This will be vastly faster....
@mtippett please try the latest at OpenJSCAD.org Also, there's a performance test running continuously now. There have been several improvements in the performance of the booleans.
FYI, there have been lots of fixes even in the export functionality. :)
The ‘modeling’ package under OpenJSCAD.org is far superior to the CSG library. Please let us know if you need any assistance moving to the latest version. https://github.com/jscad/OpenJSCAD.org

Well, well... looks like we may have to review this soon. I picked this up from a technical blog. ESM support is slated to land, unflagged, in Node v10 anytime...
