Buggy audio, streamed or downloaded

CPod version: v1.27.1

Platform: macOS Catalina, 10.15.5 MacBook Pro 13-inch, 2016

Installation type (.deb, Snap, etc.): .dmg file

Description: When using any other applications alongside CPod, the audio breaks up/skips rapidly. The app seems to slow down considerably. This happens whether or not I download the episode or not.

Version of CPod which introduced the issue (if applicable): N/A

Steps to reproduce: Relaunched application 3 times. Restarted computer and relaunched an additional 2 times.

Other information (e.g. Developer Tools console log, screenshots) if possible: I do have an example audio file if needed. Email me if you'd like to take a listen.

I am also experiencing this issue periodically I am using Ubuntu 20.04 64bit.
