GNU/Linux distro using fcron by default
Are you aware of a GNU/Linux distro using fcron by default?
As maintainer of bit-team/backintime I plan to support fcron (bit-team/backintime#610). But I don't use it myself. I would like to have a smooth configured distro for testing and want to avoid setup and configure to much just to make fcron running.
Arch Linux and Gentoo have fcron packages.
But if you are not familiar with these distros, you may find it simpler to install fcron from source following http://fcron.free.fr/doc/en/install.html . The installation will include boot script/configuration so you should be all ready to go.
Feel free to ask here is you ran into any issues.
why is it not part of debian anymore?
I do mean out of the box. I don't want to install and configure it explicit. This is for testing. ~~Of course Debian GNU/Linux offer fcron.~~
