Tile Assembly Job has wrong Pool

Open vonbehr opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

Running version 3.12.2

Describe the bug Tile assembly jobs in Deadline don't get the assigned to the pool configured in Maya or in project_settings/deadline/publish/ProcessSubmittedJobOnFarm. They always end up in none.

To Reproduce

  1. Submit a tile rendering to Deadline from Maya.
  2. Check the assigned pools of the tile assembly job

Expected behavior The tile assembly job should get assigned to the pool configured in Maya or in project_settings/deadline/publish/ProcessSubmittedJobOnFarm. Or there could be an extra setting to configure the tile assembly pool.

do you really need to specify a pool for running draft? None means any worker can do the job

limiting it to maya pool is not good imo

maybe it should get the same pool as publish job?

None means right now that no machines pick up the job until someone assigns a pool by hand. Same pool as publish job would be preferable.

to force deadline not to serve jobs with None pool you would need these options on

image

which I suppose is not your case as it is off by default

here you can see jobs with None pool rendered normally image
