Don't import file opml

Open aghezz opened this issue 3 years ago • 5 comments

Hi, I use Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon, kernel 5.4.0-109-generic. When I try to import the opml file (about 35k) I select it with the "import" function but absolutely nothing happens. Nothing seems to matter and the list of sources remains empty. immagine

Having the same issue on Win 11. Nothing is in my groups or lists as it is a new installation from the Windows Store.

Just solved this, I found that if you use grouping, the group tag(the outer outline) should NOT include type="rss". For example, the following two sources are in the same group named "news" in the opml exported from my Android rss app FocusReader

Original part:

    <outline type="rss" title="news">
      <outline type="rss" title="World News | Latest Top Stories | Reuters" xmlUrl="xxxxxx" />
      <outline type="rss" title="Top News: US & International Top News Stories Today | AP News" xmlUrl="xxxx" />
    </outline>

You should change it into:

    <outline title="news">
      <outline type="rss" title="World News | Latest Top Stories | Reuters" xmlUrl="xxxxxx" />
      <outline type="rss" title="Top News: US & International Top News Stories Today | AP News" xmlUrl="xxxx" />
    </outline>

I use a gpt api calling to modify my whole opml file. Hope this can help someone.
