This layout is now implemented into our Laravel branch. I don't know if we should bother with implementing it to the original codebase as well.
It might be a little troublesome to achieve this without rewriting our installer. Right now, it imports a full database dump and isn't very flexible in terms of programmability.
It also will break compatibility with many of our modules. Right now, before a new major release, should be the best time to do it.
I'll try my best to contribute. I'll install FontForge but It's my first time editing a font. Let's see how it goes.
