Invited to loose everything

Hello, From time to time, a parse error message appears in the XNotes window for a mail. Generally, it is no problem, I only have to uninstall XNotes, and reinstall it. But this time, instead of uninstalling, I have been invited to "delete XNotes, its configuration and its data". So, no more notes. So, how am I supposed to repair XNotes now ?

(This was on Thunderbird 91.9.1, on Windows 10.0.19044.1706 (21H2)).

I will inquire with TB team whether the uninstallation has changed.

XNotes are stored in a special directory inside your profile. You can set that directory in the XNotes settings to another place.

TB does not directly know of this directory - only when we read a file/note in there. So most likely, your notes are well preserved in there, even if TB has uninstalled.

Do you know how to find this folder in your profile directory? If not, I can tell later. Which OS?

best regards,

Klaus

Please indicate the version and retitle this to something like:

Intermittent parse errors, invitation to delete XNote++ and its data
