Note button should work on message tab

Open ErevanIlesere opened this issue 1 year ago • 7 comments

On Windows 10 / TB 115.10.1 (64 bit) / XNote++ 4.1.12, if I open a message in a new tab, in such tab XNote++ button on the top toolbar does not work for adding a note or even for showing an existing one. The same button works fine when I want to add a note to a message or want to open an existing one in TB main window. Thanks in advance for your support - and for the great work you have done over the years!! Erevan

With XNote++ 4.3.38, if I click on the "XNote++" button in a message tab, it fails quietly, but logging the following:

WebExtensions: open note true true false xnote-experiments.js:205 WebExtensions: shownote xnote-experiments.js:210 pub.getDBView() is undefined xnote-overlay.js:322:23 Error: An unexpected error occurred undefined

If I click on the "XNote++" button in a message list tab while no message is previewed, it also fails quietly, but instead logging the following:

TypeError: message is null xn-background.js:680:65

Does that correspond to your experience?
