xnote Xnote Not Working

Windows 10 Thunderbird 115.7.0

Click XNote++ Button on Thunderbird taskbar and nothing happens No Taskbar button in the individual email window

Have checked the toolbar settings on both and there is nothing to add.

did you highlight (select) an email before clicking the button?

Yes I did and just tried it again and it does not work

it does work here on win 11: highlight an email, click the button, a yllow window comes up to type into.

Do you have otheraddons, what happens if you deactivate all others (and maybe restartTB)?

Have tried unintstalling all addons and just adding the xnote .... Does not work. No add button when I open the email either and now it does not have the Note column either TB has been restarted after ever step.

Also not working for me on Ubuntu 20.04.6, Thunderbird 115.8.1 (64 bit). Used to work ok a few months ago, but not since revamp for new Thunderbird functionality. syslog reports: "...thunderbird.desktop[4950]: JavaScript error: moz-extension://de90f510-ae0e-404f-9812-cf46cc13d3d1/xn-background.js, line 525: TypeError: message is null"

What do you mean by "Thunderbird taskbar"? Please indicate the version and provide a screenshot.
