wake up from sleep causes kernel panic(?)

kernel: linux-xanmod-edge 5.16.3 from AUR whenever i try to wake up the system from sleep it shows me just a black screen and the only way to "fix" this is to power cycle the machine. i can't confirm if it's a kernel panic or not tho
