Performance when init particle

I tried to measure performance with this demo (https://rpj.bembi.org/). When the first load it's going to stuck for a while and then it will paint the dom (fps down to 8-10).

https://vincentgarreau.com/particles.js/ This lib has the same behavior.

Is there anyway to improve this?

A huge refactor is being written right now, so I'll check the performances on next version. However I suppose it won't be easy to improve first load.
