Current Limitation

Regarding API imports using the APICTL tool, we have observed that the preserve-provider=false setting is not functioning as expected. Our concern is that developer users may change over time, yet the current behavior prevents updating the provider, even when the new user has the necessary permissions.

Therefore, we request an enhancement to the APICTL tool that allows a new version of an API to be created by a different user.
