Long-pressing to copy-paste text results in longer cursor

Expected

When long-pressing a word to copy-paste something, I expect the cursor to stay the same size.

Observed

The cursor gets twice as long and won't go back to a normal size until on a different line.

Reproduced

1. Type a word and press enter a few times to have lines under it
2. Long press on it to start copy-paste
3. Notice the cursor length
