Wire prevents power saving mode on Linux

Open Yyuzu opened this issue 4 years ago • 0 comments

Hello,

I'm having an issue with Wire for Linux running KDE : it prevents the power saving management from operating while Wire is running.

KDE power management icon displays (translated from french, so maybe not exactly the same wording):

Wire currently prevents energy saving : WebRTC has active PeerConnections

I'm not using Wire actively, there are no active calls and I haven't been chatting at all since the computer started, but it seems normal operation is running WebRTC sockets. This means I cannot run Wire and have power saving features at the same time on my desktop, which is a bit problematic when forgetting to manually hibernate before going away for a long time.

Is there a way to either configure Wire or the Linux desktop (KDE specific or generic setting) so that power management properly works with Wire running ?

Thank you very much for your help.
