Question about using Eval many times

Open sbward opened this issue 6 years ago • 2 comments

I realize this is an implementation detail of the client web engines, but I would like to hear your perspective. Do you know if calling Eval permanently consumes memory in any of the clients? I'm imagining the JS to be evaluated is being written into the client page, but I don't know if it's discarded after execution.

I want to use Eval to stream data continuously to the client. Eval would be called quite a lot, perhaps hundreds of times per second in some cases, for a very long time (possibly days). Should I be concerned or do you know if this is handled already? Thank you.
