@C0sm0cats @LinoCasu checking, are you still seeing this on 0.9.1?

esimkowitz avatar Nov 11 '24 19:11 esimkowitz

@esimkowitz It's working fine with version 0.9.2 on my personal Windows 11 VMware Workstation. I'll test it today on my Windows VM at work using Horizon.

@chottuthejimmy this might be the same issue you're seeing in #1282

esimkowitz avatar Nov 27 '24 17:11 esimkowitz

This is what I see It does open the window, but its just gray screen. Seems like it should be fixed rn

@esimkowitz

@chottuthejimmy i think this is unrelated. Please open a separate issue

@esimkowitz It's working fine with zip version 0.9.3 on my personal Windows 11 VMware Workstation. It's Ok also on my Windows VM at work using Horizon (workaround : i removed C:\Users\ME\ .waveterm directory from old release installation, and boom gui now works again, and now config is in C:\Users\ME\ .config\waveterm)

C0sm0cats avatar Dec 04 '24 07:12 C0sm0cats

That's weird that that would cause the gui to fail to start... maybe there was something corrupted in your DB? Unfortunately deleting .waveterm also means we lose the logs :/

The difference in behavior and directory structure can maybe be explained by the fact that I switched from the .exe installation to the .zip version...From now on, for Windows, I will only install the .zip version as it’s much more convenient, especially at work where sometimes you can only install in a directory where you have elevated rights.

I tried several versions: 0.9.2, 0.9.3, 0.10.0, 0.10.1, 0.10.2, 0.10.3, 0.10.4, 0.11.0-beta.2, 0.11.0-beta.3, 0.11.0-beta.5, 0.11.0 Wave doesn't respond on win11. The Wave interface cannot be opened.

The waveapp.log file is as follows:
