best/most reliable way to set iso and shutter speed

Open rmalchow opened this issue 5 years ago • 1 comments

hi,

i would like to be able to play with shutter speeds and gain settings - specifically, in darker conditions, i might want to do a preview with 1/30 at 800, but the do the actual exposure at 1s/100 (essentially balancing speed and noise).

so far, i found the "iso" setting rather unreliable - e.g. - if i switch "camera.iso = 100" to "camera.iso = 400" ... it seems to only take effect when i call "capture" ... and then, apparent image brightness on the preview will change after the capture is complete.

what would i have to do to have full manual control over gain and shutter speed?

If memory serves to lock everything down you need to set the following.

camera.exposure_mode
camera.shutter_speed
camera.iso
camera.exposure_compensation
