Local Data

Hi wandb Team!

I have a confusion with the working of internals working of wandb. I am currently working on the critical data, which should not go anywhere outside of the machine. so for that i am using the wandb local hosted one. so from here my question arises. If i store the model/ data as an artifact in wandb, so how it is going to have it. will data go to here "https://deploy.wandb.ai/vol", if it is that is not appropriate solution for us, because we wanted the data completely stay in our system, it should not go anywhere else. So what would be the appropriate solution?

Hi @DB11051998 Good day and thank you for reaching out to us. Happy to help you here!

The local W&B instance uses Docker to run W&B in your local browser. By default, data is not retained if a Docker container no longer exists. Data is lost when a Docker process dies if you do not mount a volume at https://deploy.wandb.ai/vol.

To better assist you with your inquiry, may I know if you have specified a volume on your docker so we can further review the next steps? Thank you!
