Thanks for opening this feature request! Out of curiosity, what's your specific use case for this, that's not covered by the dotnet global tool?

If the use case is "running on a machine without admin rights and without dotnet installed," then there may be a related feature of ensuring CSharpRepl works on non-admin dotnet installs.

yes, the use case is close to what you said, with the exception that the machine is offline and i'm not allowed to install dotnet at all, so i'd rather run it off the usb drive
