Docs: Source IP-Range not up-to-date

Open NiceRath opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

Greetings!

We would like to allow W3C Validator to access our website. But it is currently blocked by our WAF.

The easiest approach would be to allow the source-networks. But it seems the one mentioned in the docs is not up-to-date:

Quote from the docs

Traffic from W3C Validator services will be coming from 128.30.52.0/24 subnet ...

But if we start a Test we see blocks from Amazon AES IP-ranges (ASN14618).

Yes, that’s where the servers live now.

So from that, do you have enough data to update your firewall config?

If so, we can keep this issue open as a docs issue, to get the docs updated

Yes, keep it open as docs issue. Will find another solution for the WAF exclusion.

Have a nice day
