As issues are not available for this plugin I'm using a PR to suggest/request an update from the repo it was forked from to include recent upgrades in functionality, specifically the ability to preload assets and filter using a whitelist.

FYI I've got the issues panel available for this project. Is this PR basically just a "sync from upstream"?

Could you please resolve the merge conflicts? And webpack v3 support is not a necessity in this project.

Resolved the conflicts on a different PR because there was no way I could access the work done on this PR without doing a new fork.
