It would be enough to have a list of words that i would never want suggested or autocorrected, like you add words to your own dictionaries to be suggested Like...
One very common problem i have is everytime i type 'sch' (very common sequence in german) it autocorrects it to ' SH'. I have no idea what ' SH' is...
Fwiw i tried both `sch` → `sch` or `SH` → `sch` abbreviation and it didnt fix it Was worth a try ;) I cant do any simple tricks like yours...
This is just one, admittedly rather annoying, bug but this is not abandonware at all and it works pretty well in general What other magical good keyboards without spyware do...
@Candlemass what you are feeling right now is anger, but is very misdirected here You have a very nice google keyboard to can use right now
openboard is missing gesture typing, wich btw is what is causing my problem, if i disable gesture typing i dont get the `sch -> SH` autocorrection

Why is there not new releases? I wonder because i see the repo is very active otherwise, not the run of the mill complain about release scheduling ;)
I think the only way right now is using google play. If you are using it without you are out of luck IzzyOnDroid issue was closed without being fixed afact,...
We had releases once a year, but we skipped 2023. I cross my fingers for 2024 :)
