Problem with seed4mic respeaker

Open solidssss opened this issue 4 years ago • 1 comments

I have installed everything in the guide on my raspberry pi 3b+ and did the asound.conf. If I run "./ec -i plughw:CARD=seeed4micvoicec,DEV=0 -o plughw:CARD=seeed4micvoicec,DEV=0 -d 200 -s" This is what I get:

Cannot open audio device plughw:CARD=seeed4micvoicec,DEV=0 (No such file or directory)

Anyone else with respeaker trying to get this working? I'm using a ReSpeaker 4 Mic Array Please help

I think the error is stating that your input and/or output device is not correct. In your case, you should've defined it as "plughw:[CARD],[DEV]" instead of "plughw:CARD=[CARD],DEV=[DEV]" (so for example "plughw:voicen4mic,0" where voicen4mic is my card name and 0 is my dev number). To get the card and device name/number, try to run arecord -L and aplay -L.

Hope this helps.
