kde-connect send takes over file manager

I am running a lubuntu with openbox and thunar as file manger. Once I install indicator-kdeconnect trying to open the folder of a file (e.g. after downloading something with firefox and telling firefox to show the download folder) kde-connect send opens. This holds true for all programs trying to open a files location (e.g. zotero, archiver,....). Once I remove kde-connect and all components everything works as supposed.
