Suddenly The app stops working

Same issue here. Black screen if in dark mode, white screen in light mode.
I just had an issue similar to this as well, except I'm stuck on the splash screen.
Also stuck at the splash screen when attempting to open app. Suddenly happened recently.
Can confirm the issue as well. Running on android 13. White screen on startup. Tried force stopping the app and re-opening. This issue should be addressed ASAP. Maybe something Google did through play store system updates broke something.
I was able to (at least temporarily) get the app working again by clearing the app's data in system settings. Obviously that wiped my configured alarms, but after setting them back up everything seems to be working like before.

Well, the app lasted two weeks and then stopped working again after this "fix".
Similar here. Had the problem some 1.5 weeks ago. Half an hour ago it happened again, out of the blue (used it this morning, everything was well). Clearing saved information gets it going again, but that cannot be the long-term solution. Specifically a problem IMHO: I'm not sure I can trust that this will not happen »over night«. Just imagine that striking out of the blue again, but this time in the morning, before the alarm is supposed to go off.
Had it another three times in the meantime. Today it went down exactly as I feared. Went up an hour after the set alarm because it never went off: Freeze of the application when trying to open it, only goes away after deleting all app data. At least I got backups of the settings. Maybe of interest: The ahead-warning, that an alarm is about to come up in a few minutes, was apparently set (the notification was still there). So something must have happened during those few minutes between the warning coming up and the alarm actually going off. Maybe it happens just right when an event comes up?

In any case, I am getting the same issues on a Samsung A25 (Android 15). If I try launching from my desktop shortcut, it hangs and I get a pure black screen. If I kill the process and try again, then I get black screen with the app logo in the center.
I've ran into this several times already and had as mentioned above clearing cache/ force stop don't work. I think the last few times I have either had to reinstall the app or completely clear all of its storage to get it working again... which means having to recreate / reimport alarms (I am very grateful this app has the ability to backup settings to a local file btw... I just wish I didn't have to create them so frequently... maybe if #33 is added at some point that would help but obv much lower priority than fixing this hang-on-launch issue)
I'm managing for now w a physical alarm clock... I was hoping to figure out how to capture logs of the issue before I wipe the app's storage again, but haven't quite figured it out yet. Hopefully I will be back to successfully contribute a log but apologies if I get lost in my own chaos and forget (I will excuse myself by saying my alarm never went off lol)

From the looks of it, yes. Mine is white, but that's probably because I do not use a dark android theme.
And another instance. This time it gets a bit more bizarre: Starting the app, freezing, as usual. I head over to the app management, force it to stop, delete the app data and try to start the app again. And it already freezes at the first starting attempt. Mind you, I restarted the phone a while before to see if the starting issue might be solved (one can always hope...), so it's probably also not just a strange state that comes up after a while of having the phone running. So the series of events:
- App freezes on start. (Again with the notifications of the impending alarm going off, which never went off.)
- Restart of the phone to see if that might have some healing effects.
- Attempt at starting the application.
- Again/still freezing.
- Forceful stop of the application.
- Removal of app data.
- Starting attempt of the application.
- App freezes right away (on very first starting attempt).
