Question on the legend

I have a XG file with only 5 paths, but when viewing I see some of the sequences up to 15 times with a number in brackets, is there a resource I am not seeing, or can someone explain what those are ?

Do your paths double back over the same part of the graph multiple times?

If you pull out a subregion that paths enter and exit multiple times, the paths will be cut into new paths describing the parts of the old paths that pass through your subregion. The numbers should be the coordinates along the original path that each new path covers.
