`mix-blend-mode` shows footer links by delay

I've found this on your blog page while I was reading that great article about CSS Grids.

It looks like it wouldn't happen if you remove mix-blend-mode property. I'm using FireFox 65.0.1 on a macOS Sierra.

Since I'm not sure if you like to remove that property to fix this or not, I'm not creating a pull request.
