changing 'cursorColor' to any color does not work

using all of the available color formats... I cannot get my cursor to be any color other than white.

I am on 2.1.2 stable and using zsh/oh-my-zsh.

Using Hyper 3.0.2 and Windows 10 v1903

Same issue on Hyper 3.41 stable, Linux Mint 21.3

UPDATE: Just solved this problem by disabling conflicting plugin hyper-snazzy in ~/.hyper.js
