Support other elements (Users)

Hi, I have a site where I only have users that manage their user profiles themselves. But the profiles also have to be approved. Would this be possible for users or is "workflow" only targeted for entries?

At this stage, Workflow is very much targeted at entries, but it could certainly be extended to other elements such as Categories and users. Adding it as a feature.
