the selection range is shown incorrectly after viewport-long scrolling

Steps to reproduce:

  • scroll to an off-screen area (e.g. the AA column)
  • select a range of cells (e.g. AA5:AD8)
  • scroll back to the origin (A1)
  • see that the selection range is incorrectly shown as A5:D8
