Javascript Error has occurred in the main process
I have checked the following:
- [X] I use the newest version of bruno.
- [X] I've searched existing issues and found nothing related to my issue.
Describe the bug
On random occassions, Bruno will freeze and show this error:
A Javascript Error has occurred. Uncaught Exception: Error: EBUSY: resource busy or locked, lstat 'C:\DumpStack.log.tmp'
I don't actually have a C:\DumpStack.log.tmp file. Clicking on Okay will sometimes immediately return Bruno back to normal, or sometime a few other identical error boxes will pop up. After dismissing the error box, it will reappear a few minutes later. Dismissing the box will unfreeze Bruno and it will continue to function as normal.
Using latest build, v1.28 from Scoop, on Win 11.
I saw there was a previous issue with the same name (https://github.com/usebruno/bruno/issues/749) but this seems different.

The error can take up to 5 minutes to show up, but it's pretty consistent. I haven't found a case that can make it stop
- The error occurs if I turn on Bruno via CLI as well as via Start Menu
- The error occurs if I am on Sandbox mode or in Developer mode
- The CLI and the Developer console does not show any error messages that I can tell
- The error occurs if even if I turn on Bruno and leave it idle. This seems to happen regardless of if I have a Collections loaded or not on boot
I also am having this issue. I running Windows 11 ARM64 with Bruno v1.38. As with @jfslin , there is no rhyme or reason why it starts doing it and it just keeps doing it.
I think there's some limited local interaction. I've tried Bruno on 3 other machines now with similar software packages installed and haven't seen this error on those machines.
I've updated to the latest version of Bruno. This is still an issue. I have Bruno on 2 different Windows machines now. One is ARM64 running in Parallels on an Apple M3 Pro. The other is Windows X64 on Intel i7. Both exhibit the same behaviour. The fact that it's trying to scan my root folder is concerning (it has no business in the root of drive C, let alone trying to open files from there that have nothing to do with fulfilling it's purpose).
Same issue for me, Error: A JavaScript error occurred in the main process: Uncaught Exception: Error: EBUSY: resource busy or locked, lstat 'C:\DumpStack.log.tmp'
Error may also reference 'C:\hiberfil.sys'
I am still seeing this in v2.6.1, BUT I did not see this until my firm started reducing users rights to RO except in user profile and user data areas
Is there any updates on this issue. It's really annoying to constantly have to dismiss the error popup when trying to use Bruno. I'm going to have to switch to another product if there isn't a solution to this.
