Clicking or previewing Twitter link inside quote in chat leads to laggy page reload

When clicking either the actual URL or the arrow to expand the preview, inside a quote box in a chat which contains a Twitter link:

  • If the URL is clicked, the (Urbit) page will reload entirely (taking up to 3 seconds), and the Twitter link will not open
  • If the preview arrow is clicked, the preview will show very briefly before the entire (Urbit) page will reload, as above. twitter-link-bug twitter-link-bug-2

Not quite the same bug though; as I experienced it, it doesn't open a new window, just reloads the Groups page. And it only happens when the link is inside a quoted comment, not a fresh chat comment.

It is the same bug it just presents differently here. There's some bad HTML structure that's causing this.
