[BUG] - the infamous memory leak

Describe the bug

  • What is the bug? Memory leak, where memory usage goes up each iteration. Does not occur in serial, only when running in parallel.
  • What version code? Latest dev branch
  • What system are you running the code on? Mac/ARM
  • Steps to reproduce? Should be reproducible running any model in parallel Screenshots None
