Can downstroke / upstroke be represented?

With a guitar, for example, a chord can be strummed in different styles (downstroke / upstroke with different durations). Is it possible to represent this with the | operator?

Unfortunately not. The song representation is very simple.

I could imagine adding stroke direction in a custom interpreter, but that would be an automatic behaviour rather than a constraint on the performance.
