No feedback in the log

Open MickaelPub opened this issue 4 years ago • 3 comments

Hello to all. I looked around but couldn't find any posts on a similar topic. I am new and I apologize if this is already the case.

Describe the bug : I have no feedback in the log.

Smartphone :

  • Device : FairPhone 3+ (root)
  • OS : /e/ OS 0.17 (based on android 10)

Additional context : Before anything else, I tried to delete and reinstall the application 3 times and the result is identical.

When installing AFWall on my root device, I immediately observe a multitude of connections from two applications (WhatsApp and SD Maid). Then a few seconds later they stop. I then set the application according to my wishes (profiles, rules...) but I have, since the first minutes of the installation and without having started to adjust my settings, no log in the log. It must be a bug because with the WhatsApp application authorized or not, it's the same result. On another phone, the Whatsapp application emits very very regularly... I know that this community often make miracles so I hope you can help me.

I hope you can help me. Thank you.

@MickaelPub your issue is a little bit unclear, i will answer you based on what i've understood from your post:

1-To see information in the log, you have to enable "Log Service" from "Preferences" 2-Log service will only capture the apps that are blocked from accessing internet (only blacklisted apps appear in the log)

Hello,

Thank you for your answer.

Sorry, I may have misspoken. The operations described in your answer are already done and understood. My problem is the following: the logging does not appear. When I disable logging and re-enable it, the outgoing information from the blocked applications appears for a while but then does not work. When I disable the logging and re-enable it again, it works fine for a while and then nothing.

Is there a known solution to this?

Thank you for your work, again.

Best regards,

Mickaël.

Quite the same for me. Samsung Galaxy S7 / eOS 0.19q (Android 10)

Log service is enabled in preferences (checkbox checked) , BUT : no log data with message "Please enable log service via preferences. If enabled, no log data".

No errors in logcat
