Desperate Elon Musk tries the dimmest spam protection around: demoting VPN users
Describe the bug Lots of people use VPNs for various reasons not involving spamming. Now, rather than analyzing the contents of your tweets, Musk is demoting those who use VPNs. I use a VPN and my replies weren't incrementing the reply count until I turned off the VPN.
To Reproduce Use a VPN. For instance, the Mozilla VPN.
Expected behavior An intelligent company would just review the contents of tweets. No AI is really necessary: just prioritize tweets using Flesch-Kincaid and other measures of complexity. Spam tweets aren't that complex.
Additional context This will negatively impact those like Iranian/Russian dissidents, etc. who have to use a VPN to avoid persecution.
