Sound of video from "For You" tab plays after switching to "Following" tab in Twitter Android app

While using the Twitter Android app, I have experienced a rare bug where the sound from a video playing in the "For You" tab continues to play after switching to the "Following" tab. This issue is not consistently reproducible and may affect only a small number of users. However, it can be disruptive to me and others who encounter it.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Open the Twitter Android app
  • Navigate to the For You tab
  • Play a video with sound in the For You tab
  • While the video is playing, switch to the Following tab

Expected behavior: When switching to the Following tab, the sound from the video in the For You tab should stop playing.

Actual behavior: After switching to the Following tab, the sound from the video in the For You tab continues to play in the background.

Yes I have faced this issue too. Seriously needs to be adressed
