unhandled quality with VN-4100PC
To reproduce:
ovdr -d D
Output that I see:
Error downloading "DD_0018.wav": unhandled quality
I am using odvr version 0.1.4.1 on Linux (Ubuntu 8.10) with an Olympus
VN-4100PC. Odvr recognizes it as 4100PC.
I would love to have a work-around!

I forgot to mention: the listing of my Olympus recorder via odvr -l shows:
Folder D (1 files):
Slot File Length Date Quality
1 18 00:32:28 3/12/2008 15:55:48 HQ

I agree, I have a VN-2100PC and I get similar:
Error downloading "DA_0007.wav": unhandled quality
I had previously successfully used odvr on linux eeebuntu (on an eeepc) using a
vn-240pc for several months, was given the upgrade to 2100pc, and now it won't
work
- as above.
I checked number '6' in this catalogue, and downloaded the tarball, installed,
changed makefile drivers, placed odvr41 etc into correct directories,
reconnected
DVR, failed, rebooted system, failed. I have also changed quality from HQ down
to
really quite poor, but still "unhandled quality". OK, now I'm stuck.
Please help, Obi-Wan....

A reply to Ralph's original post,
Change the quality from HQ to XHQ. This worked for my VN-4100PC using both
0.1.4.1
and 0.1.5...
Hope that helps.
