Update the tao dependency - help requested

I'd like to update tao to the latest version but could use some help as it looks like tao no longer contains the menu utilities. If anyone who is familiar with tao would like to contribute that would be greatly appreciated.

I'd prefer not to apply cargo fmt for now as I think it makes the code harder to read. I'll work on this separately later. Thanks
