Local repo deleted while remote repo was unavailable
Thanks for wanting to bring an issue to our attention!
CFAN Version: 0.1.3-0-gadfe769 (beta)
Operating System: Windows 7 x64
The issue you are experiencing: My local cached repository got deleted after i tried to manually update it, while the remote repo was not accessible.
How to recreate this issue: Open CFAN, if open, click refresh and most of the times it throws an error. But sometimes it tells me that it succeeded although the remote repo was still not available and deleted the local cached repo in the process. That way i couldnt install any new mods, although it would still be possible with the old repository.
CFAN error codes (if applicable): none
I couldn't recreate this issue. It's weird, anything specific you've done before it broke that way?
Problem is, most of the time i have the filter set to installed. I just found out when i wanted to install a new mod and then the compatible list was only containing my installed mods. It was maybe the day after the repo was down. I had restarted CFAN several times and also refreshing manually several times. I closed the program while waiting for the update to fail and also killed the process at least once i have to admit. I checked your domain with http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ once. I searched within the code for a possible cause for this and i assume that within the UpdateRegistry some different exception was thrown then a webexception while updating manually, which could clear the current registry.
